At The Sagrado, we build outside the 4 walls of our gallery.
We are a space of return, a land-based practice where memory, identity, and design reconnect.
We are an ancestral sanctuary.
A resistance hub.
A neighborhood altar built with vision and with the hands of our community.
Our work is grounded in what is already here:
Adobe soil.
Intergenerational knowledge.
The lived experiences of our Indigenous and South Phoenix family.
Through youth-led design labs, men’s healing circles, adobe benches, and ceremonial gathering, we remember who we are—and shape spaces that hold us.
We do not design within the lines drawn by systems of displacement.
We design to restore relationship—to land, to culture, to each other.
At The Sagrado:
Art is a form of remembering.
Design is a tool for sovereignty.
Healing is part of our architectural process.

Ways to Give
One-Time Offering
Every offering becomes material. Every dollar supports the infrastructure of liberation.
$25 – Brushes, paint, and sketchbooks for youth designers
$50 – Honoraria for a cultural bearer sharing ancestral knowledge
$100 – Supplies for a community healing or story circle
$250 – Supports a workshop, event, or youth-led design session
$500 – Sponsors one month of programming in our space

In-Kind and Other Offerings
We welcome relationships, not just resources.
We are currently seeking Adobe materials, straw, tools, shade structures, garden plants, carpentry services, cameras, and creative collaborators.
